CRYSTAL HIGBE, PMHNP-BC

Crystal W. Higbe, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. She aims to promote happiness, stability, and confidence in each individual by taking a holistic approach to treatment. Crystal tailors care based on each patient’s unique background and needs, prioritizing strong therapeutic relationships and clear communication. Her goal is to help patients achieve their healthiest, most fulfilled lives.

She provides expert care for postpartum depression and anxiety, ADHD in mothers, and hormone-related mood disorders, delivering compassionate, patient-centered treatment tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Crystal’s nursing journey began at Central Carolina Technical College, followed by 12 years as a registered nurse primarily caring for newborns and postpartum mothers. She then advanced her expertise by earning a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University. Her extensive clinical experience and additional training through Postpartum Support International empower her to address the complex mental health challenges faced by women during this critical phase of life.

Focused on reproductive psychiatry, Crystal works closely with women aged 18-64, treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions including postpartum depression and anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and hormone-related mood disorders. She combines medication management with brief supportive therapy, creating personalized treatment plans designed to restore emotional balance and improve quality of life.
